Our Services

Counseling

Our counseling services are grounded in neuroscience and take a holistic, evidence-based approach to healing and growth. We support both children and adults through challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, and more—helping individuals and families feel grounded, empowered, and connected.

Our services go beyond traditional talk therapy. We help clients understand how their brains work and how experiences—especially those related to trauma or developmental disruptions—can impact behavior, emotions, and relationships. From this foundation, we build personalized treatment plans that integrate therapeutic conversation with movement-based interventions, mindfulness, and sensory-informed approaches.

We specialize in:

  • Supporting parents of children with social-emotional and behavioral challenges

  • Helping adults manage stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm

  • Addressing nervous system dysregulation

  • Strengthening parent-child connections through family sessions

  • Creating collaborative strategies that promote resilience at home, in school, and in the community

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family as a whole, NeuroBloom provides a safe, compassionate space to heal, grow, and thrive—rooted in science, and blossoming with wellness.

Safe and Sound Protocol

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed listening intervention developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and based on his Polyvagal Theory. SSP helps regulate the autonomic nervous system by stimulating the vagus nerve through specifically filtered music, allowing clients to feel safer, more connected, and better able to engage in life and therapy.

The SSP uses specially designed music—delivered through over-the-ear headphones in a safe, supportive setting—that cues the nervous system toward a state of calm and connection. The music targets middle ear muscles that are connected to the vagus nerve, promoting regulation and helping the brain shift out of survival states (fight, flight, freeze) and into states of safety, social engagement, and learning.

SSP can benefit both children and adults and is especially helpful for individuals experiencing:

  • Anxiety, panic, or chronic stress

  • Emotional dysregulation or mood instability

  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges

  • Autism spectrum disorder

  • Sensory processing issues

  • Social communication difficulties

  • History of trauma or developmental trauma

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Auditory hypersensitivity or sound sensitivities

  • Low frustration tolerance or frequent emotional outbursts

  • Digestive issues related to stress

  • Behavioral challenges or shutdowns in school or home settings

Benefits of the Safe and Sound Protocol

  • Improved emotional regulation and resilience

  • Decreased reactivity, anxiety, and stress

  • Enhanced social engagement and connection

  • Increased capacity to access and benefit from therapy

  • Better focus, attention, and executive functioning

  • Reduced sensory sensitivity and sound aversion

  • Improved sleep, digestion, and body regulation

  • Greater sense of safety and groundedness in the body

  • Strengthened parent-child or caregiver relationships
